Just like all good mompreneur businesses, Tot Mess Express was born out of necessity and anxiety!

One day, I was looking for information about how to safely clean my toddler’s disgusting car seat and saw some seriously unsafe practices happening online.

Parents were blasting car seat bases with power washers. Cleaning “experts” were touting vinegar-based solutions to remove smells from buckle straps. Strangers were recommending that a simple wash and dry was all that was needed to rid an infant seat of the mold spores it had accumulated over 10 years of sitting in a garage.

As a certified Child Passenger Safety Technician (CPST) and a mom to a toddler and infant at the time, my flabbers were sufficiently ghasted.

So, I read my manuals, properly cleaned my kids’ car seats, and then went on to join BabyQuip as an Independent Quality Provider (QP) in 2024, focusing on deep-cleaning infant, convertible, and booster car seats along with bassinets and strollers.

When I moved to Fishers in 2025, I knew I wanted to expand my cleaning repertoire to include all the other things most parents simply don’t have time to deal with. I launched Tot Mess Express to tackle the wagons, outside toys, baby carriers, high chairs and all the other sticky odds and ends that come along with having babies and toddlers.

I am passionate about keeping kids safe and keeping parents sane. You focus on the parenting and the fun of day-to-day adventures, and I’ll focus on the mess.
